| | How to Use These Patterns | |
|
Here are step-by-step instructions for how to make use of the architypes.net pattern library while designing a building or other environment
Solution
- First, gain a thorough understanding of the problem(s) you are trying to solve. This is the aim of the Programming Phase of the Design Process
- Next, go through the patterns, identifying patterns that relate your project and the problem(s)you need to solve. You can browse patterns in the Categorized Index of Patterns, or search for specific terms in all patterns. You may also find inspiration by browsing the Image Library, where you'll find a list of related patterns under individual images.
- For each pattern that you have selected, also look at any patterns listed in the Supporting Patterns section of that pattern. The supporting patterns can give you further ideas of specific ways of meeting the goal of a given pattern.
