Desert
Problem / Situation
Desert climates are typically characterized by:
  • Cold temperatures at night and hot temperatures in the daytime
  • Low humidity
  • Low amounts of precipitation
  • Little cloud cover resulting in very directional lighting
  • Because most of the world's deserts are located close to the equator, desert climates tend to have relatively little change in length of daylight hours in the different seasons
